Building a better Future Center for Florida Local Government Excellence
Welcome

In April of 2007, the Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA) entered into an agreement with the Reubin O’D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at Florida State University (FSU) and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government (IOG) to form the Center for Florida Local Government Excellence, hereafter referred to as CFLGE (pronounced sea flag).

Our mission is to build and maintain meaningful partnerships that will provide education, professional development and researched-based information to local government administrators through collaborative partnerships with other Florida Universities and agencies that support our initiative. With the vision of developing a premier model (recognized nationally and internationally) for educating and assisting current and future generations of local government administrators in Florida.

FCCMA Coaching Program

The CFLGE partnership with the FCCMA Professional Development/Training Committee includes facilitating sessions for the FCCMA Coaching Program.

Demand for local government talent in Florida has been growing and will continue to soar in the coming years as baby boomers retire. The FCCMA Coaching Program links volunteer seasoned professionals who are willing to share their insights and expertise.

The FCCMA Coaching program is provided at no cost. This opportunity is made possible due to the financial partnership of Florida City and County Management Association, Florida League of Cities, and Florida Association of Counties, and the in-house support of the Florida Institute of Government. The Coaching Program offers toll-free dial-in access, as well as, webinar capability.
