Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1.   Is it too late to register?

No, you can register up through the first week of class. It is best to register as soon as possible for prompt access to the online course site.

2. I would like to register for academic credit; what will I need to do?

If you are not a current FSU student, you will need to complete and return the following forms: (1) FSU Special Student Biographical Form: please answer ALL questions; (2) Residency Form (FL students only) : please cite two documents supporting legal residency (usually a FL drivers license number with original issue date and voter registration card are easiest); and (3) Course Registration Form (for Spring 2009)

Forms are available at: http://cflge.org/program/apply.html

You do NOT need to fill out the Health History Forms. For this particular certificate program, transient students should register as special students.

The Guide to Computing Resources website at http://gtcr.fsu.edu/topic-02.html provides guidance on minimum computer system requirements and recommendations.

Blackboard is FSU’s online portal for web-supported courses and secure online services. Using a Blackboard course website, instructors can deliver content and coordinate online activities. Once admitted to the course, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on obtaining and activating your FSUID, establishing your official FSU email account, and accessing Blackboard. You must complete a brief but mandatory online orientation in Blackboard. Contact Sharon Reavis at sreavis@campus.fsu.edu or 850-645-5639 if you need assistance with access to Blackboard.
