One of the components of the 2007-2009 Program of Work for CFLGE is development of local government training in each FCCMA District. The training is being scheduled in half and full-day increments in city and county facilities in each district and the topics are selected by FCCMA members. FCCMA President Ed Mitchell is particularly interested in the success of this program and he has been advocating that the training be localized in government facilities. The purpose is threefold: reduce travel training costs for local government participants, eliminate training facility overhead costs, and provide a forum for local government administrators and staff to obtain “hands on” training on current and pending local government issues.
FCCMA District Directors
FCCMA District Directors have been actively soliciting training ideas from members in their area. Special acknowledgement is in order for all the District Directors who have reached out to their membership to select a date, topic, and location. Without their commitment to this initiative the following schedule could not have been developed with district specific preferences.

Training Costs
The Center for Local Government Excellence is subsidizing most of the training costs through its financial partners (notably FCCMA, as well as FAC and FLC). All currently scheduled half day training sessions are $35 and all full day training sessions are $50 and include lunch. Don't miss these low cost, highly effective, training sessions in your area.
